Paradise of the South

Finally! After almost two years of not being able to travel together because of travel restrictions due to the COVID19 pandemic, here we are enjoying the beach life in Boracay Island.

Back in August 2016 when my friends and I initially planned to go here, however, it was postponed due to conflicts in our schedules (Working Girls! Yeah!!) πŸ˜‚ But on October 26, 2021, we planned the dates, canvassed air tickets, and accommodation, and checked the travel requirements of Local Government Units in Aklan. And on November 1st when we were able to have our air tickets. Yey! We accomplished one task. 😍

Thanks to our friend who is also with us and who has a travel agency, we were able to book our accommodation smoothly. 😊 You will see the link of their travel agency below, please visit it and book your tour now. 😊

So fast forward, we traveled through air, land, and sea and finally!! We have arrived in Boracay on November 19!!! Yehey!!! πŸ˜‚

But before we got to enjoy our vacation, there are a few mishaps that I do not want to share anymore. So why bother mentioning it? Well, I don’t know. I just want to share with you that we got free dinner the night we arrived as a consolation for the inconvenience.πŸ˜‰

Our itinerary for the first day includes Snorkeling, Island Hopping: Puka Beach, Magic Island, and Crystal Cove Island Resort, and a free day on the second day!😊

On our island hopping, our first destination is Puka Beach which is situated in the Yapak District in the northern tip of Boracay and it is also one of the longest beaches on the island, going on for 800 meters. What makes it more captivating is because of its natural beauty, the beach is lined with tall coconut trees that can provide shades when the sun is too bright and you won’t see any trash on the shoreline.

Of course, I won’t miss the chance to take pictures on this scenic beach. 😍

An hour is not enough to enjoy it, πŸ₯² but enough to keep a blissful experience and memory.

Our next destination is the Magic Island which is known for cliff jumping and has 3 jumping platforms: 5 ft which is ideal for youngsters, then there’s a 20 ft and 30 ft in height platform if you are looking for more adrenaline-pumping vibes. Our tour guide asked us if any one of us would like to do cliff jumping, but since we are not ready for that experience, so, we skipped it. Maybe I’ll do it once I have the courage to jump on our next visit soon. πŸ˜‰

Before we go to our last island destination, our tour guide brought us to a place near the Municipal Health Office of Malay, Aklan to have our lunch first as it is already passed 12NN. Hay! I forgot the name. 😭 But the food there is so amazing!! 😁 Or are we just so famished that it tastes so delicious?πŸ˜‚ But in all seriousness, their food is so delectable, it just so unfortunate that I could not remember the name of the place. But maybe one of you who has been in Boracay might know it. 😁

We rested for a few minutes before we boarded our boat again to go to the Crystal Cove Island Resort. Crystal Cove is a private island beach near Boracay Island and is a popular stop-off point for island hoppers. There was a separate fee for admission/entrance at the resort, so we just stayed at the shore as it is already out of our budget, πŸ₯² we were told by our tour guide that the resort is offering a wide range of activities such as trekking, cave exploration, sunbathing, snorkeling, pigeon feeding, and sea kayaking. It is unfortunate that we were not able to experience those, but maybe next time as I will surely go back to this paradise. πŸ˜‰ Anyway, we still got to enjoy sunbathing and had swum for a while in cold seawater, and of course the picture taking to instill our memorable experience. πŸ’•

It is already around 4:00 PM when we arrived at Boracay Station 2 where our hotel is located. I decided to go back to our room first to charge my phone and camera while my friends decided to stay and enjoy a late afternoon swim. I joined them after an hour and we enjoyed paddleboarding and swimming together. πŸ’•

I must say that it was a well-spent day, enjoying the company and creating memories with my crazy friends. Oh! by the way, my sister and brother-in-law just got married a day before our flight to Boracay so this tour also serves as the honeymoon. hee hee πŸ˜‰

Please see my next post for our second day in Boracay. 😊Thank you for taking time to read my travel journal πŸ’•
